NOVEMBER WORSHIP SERIES

We all can relate to the idea of shattered dreams. The broken remnants of relationships, careers, finances and more that didn’t quite work out the way we thought they would litter the pathways of our life journey. Sometimes, as followers of Christ, we become convinced that a certain situation is God’s will for our life. We begin to count on it as though it is an answer to prayer, a guaranteed promise from God. Then, when things don’t quite come together the way we expected we sometimes find our faith in God strained or even shattered. How do we pick up the pieces, regroup our faith and move forward with God after a crushing disappointment?

That’s the topic of Pastor G’s November series: PLAN B, based on a series and book by the same name, written by Pastor Peter Wilson of Cross Point Church in Nashville, TN.

We’ve got all the equipment and signs and kids toys and first time guest gifts and fellowship food and more! Pastor G and the rest of our pastoral staff will all be on hand in person on the 25th! We are expecting a BIG crowd and we want you to be a part of it!

HI FOFERS and others who check out our websites from time to time!

I am incredibly JAZZED and totally STOKED as I write this blog tonight! We have shot and edited a major motion picture style trailer and worked out an arrangement with the owner of the Tri-City Theater in Jackson, Ohio to show our trailer, along with the other coming attractions in all four of his theaters before every single movie!!! That starts TONIGHT! Just 30 minutes from now!!!!

WOW! What an amazing opportunity to get the word out to the Jackson area community that FOF has come to town! YAY GOD!

I am hopeful that this will be the start of great things at our Jackson campus, that we will begin to see exponential growth in this ministry, that God will be glorified and that people who don’t know Jesus will come to know him as the Lord and Savior of their lives! YAY GOD!

In case you don’t know, our Jackson campus, located inside the Tri-City Theater on Sunday mornings, hosts a live worship band, great kids and youth ministry, free breakfast, casual dress and uplifting, real, relevant messages from me each week just like our main campus in Rio Grande. The only difference is my messages are watched on a video screen in Jackson instead of being in the same room with me like folks are in Rio Grande. Many people have commented that they actually like this better! They can see my facial expressions better, feel like they are closer to the stage, and don’t have to switch between watching me and looking at the Scripture and illustration screens like they do at the main campus. It’s all on GIANT screen right in front of them.

We have a core group of about 45 people at present and we’re planning our Grand Opening for Sunday, September 25th right after Apple Fest! We’ve got a float planned for the Apple Fest Parades as well! We’re doing everything we can to get the word out to the Jackson community that we are here to serve them by providing a different kind of church experience that often appeals to those who have been turned off by the traditional church.Please help us spread the word! If you live in the Jackson, Wellston or Oak Hill areas and you don’t already have a home church, we’d love to have you join us! Also, please invite all your friends who live in the area. Pass the word on through email, facebook, texts and personal conversations!

Keep us in your prayers, especially over the next month, as we make final preparations to welcome a big first time crowd to FOF: Jackson!

Donna Crisenbery’s awesome landscaping vision for FoF Rio comes to fruition! We had around 25 fantastic volunteers there to dig, plant, till and mulch the morning away and it was done in no time! Thanks to everyone who participated financially and with their hard work and dedication! YAY GOD!

REBOOT SCRIPTURE MEMORIZATION VERSES

We’ve been asked to share the Scripture references for the 60 Scripture Memory Verses we are memorizing as a congregation this year. The 60 verses come straight from the Navigators Topical Memory System. We have free card sets available at out Connection Center in the lobby at FOF: Rio Grande, but if you want to copy and paste them into a Word Business Card Template and make your own, we want to help. So, below you will find all sixty verses in the order we are memorizing them as a congregation. The goal is to learn one verse a week and then learn one extra verse each month to bring us in at learning all 60 verses in 52 weeks. We hope you will participate with us.
