Being part of a church means more than attending on Sundays.
It means developing relationships with people who attend with you.
At FOF, we do that in three different ways.
STADIUM: We call our large group gatherings STADIUM EVENTS! Sundays aren’t the only times we get together in large groups to spend time together. Every fifth Sunday, folks at Fellowship of Faith have a community event in which we share a meal and take part in different activities. Whether it is Club Kairos in the winter or the annual Fall Kick-off, everyone is guaranteed to have a good time. Check the online calendar here on our website to find out when you can attend the next event. These large events are great for hanging out with people you already know and for meeting some new friends along the way but to really establish some strong relationships you’ll need to get involved at a deeper level. Stadium events are designed as large celebrations around a common theme. Relationships happen at the Team and Huddle levels.
TEAM: Once you begin attending FOF, we hope you will want to do two things. (1) Begin to make some new friends and (2) Plug into a monthly serving opportunity to help us pursue the mission God has entrusted to us. Our TEAMS are a great place to accomplish both of these things. There are many Strategic Service Teams @ FOF. The Celebration Team plans and implements our Worship Experiences. The Technology Team makes sure all the sound, video and computer equipment stays operational. The KidSpace Team provides fun and safe arenas for children’s worship and Christian Education. The Connection Team helps ensure first time guests feel welcome, learn about our church and get plugged in to a ministry they will enjoy. The Community Team oversees our quarterly fellowship events and our small groups program. Our Security Team oversees the safety and security of our people and property. Our Property Team takes care of the grounds and the building. These are just a few of the teams you can plug into with other like-minded FOFers for a chance to serve Jesus Christ in a fruitful and fulfilling ministry that helps us advance our mission to see lives transformed.
HUDDLE: To truly become part of a faith community you need strong relationships built on the foundation of God’s word, the Bible. While serving on a team once a month or more will help you build some strong friendships with those you serve on the team with, plugging into a small group of people with whom you can really share life with is crucial to growing in your relationship with Christ. At Fellowship of Faith this happens in our HUDDLES! The foundation of our small group philosophy is our home groups, called Home Huddles. These take place at various times throughout the week and consist of 8-14 people who spend time together and study the Bible together. Our Home Huddles each have Facebook groups which can give you more information about each of them. You need only contact the group leader to become part of a Home Huddle. Not all Huddles take place in homes. You may choose a men’s huddle, a women’s huddle, a singles huddle, a marrieds huddle or a huddle organized around a favorite hobby, interest or career. (Hairdressers for Jesus or Bikers for Christ are just two options.)
We strongly recommend you plug in to all three of these discipleship levels. Regularly attend STADIUM EVENTS for worship and fellowship. Serve on a TEAM to experience the joy that comes from knowing you are part of something bigger than yourself, making a difference and helping transform lives. Plug in to a HUDDLE to develop strong friendship support and experience spiritual formation and Christian discipleship as you study God’s word together.
